Advocacy, emotional support, information, referral, and CORI registration for homicide survivors and victims of crime is facilitated.

Important Public Safety Message
Victims, Homicide Survivors, and Witnesses

You can register for notification or criminal record access for an offender if you are:

  • A victim of the offender's crime

  • A witness to the crime

  • A family member of a victim who is deceased, incompetent, or a minor

  • The parent or guardian of a victim or witness who is a minor or incompetent

  • Concerned for your safety

When you register for notification, you will be notified if the offender:

  • Is moved to a less secure facility

  • Escapes from their facility

  • Is released (including temporary, provisional, or final release)

 

When you register for criminal record access, you can receive access to:

  • Police reports

  • Court documents

  • The offender's parole or probation conditions

  • The offender's criminal record (CORI)

Offenders are not notified if you register for notification or access to their criminal record. Your registration is completely confidential.
